“Working at PairAnything was one of the most valuable experiences I had as a new Software Engineer. My time at the company as a Software Data Engineer intern allowed me apply concepts I have learned at school into practice while also gaining more knowledge about technologies being used in the industry. I was attracted to PairAnything due to the unique vision it had of bringing technology into the wine industry. Doing that to a traditionally brick-and-mortar industry allowed more people to be educated about wines and, along with the innovation that PairAnything provides, learn what food choices can go along with them.
During my time at PairAnything, I was fully supported by my peers and mentors. I always had resources to use and people I could reach out to while working on the projects and there were always opportunities for learning, such as working with overseas teams and even leading projects. It was an experience I could not really get at school and because of that I felt more confident and ready to enter the industry as a new Software Engineer.

“The opportunities I’ve gotten from working at PairAnything are far more than I would’ve gotten from another internship. I had a background in software engineering from high school, but I went with a linguistics major in college. Deciding to switch back to software engineering was only possible because of the support from PairAnything. The team gave me so much room to learn, make mistakes and grow. I always felt comfortable knowing that I can reach out not only for technical support, but also career and life support.
I’ve been given the opportunity to work on the web app’s front end technologies, and even got to lead parts of the projects. And once I felt comfortable with the front end, I was able to develop my skills in the back end as well so I could become a more balanced web developer. At first I definitely struggled with “Imposter Syndrome” but through all these experiences, I’ve gained the confidence to assert myself and feel like my voice is being heard.
